A family-run guesthouse in Mafeteng, welcoming travellers to Lesotho since 2025.
From our family to yours
Bataung Guest House began with a simple idea: to offer travellers a clean, comfortable and genuinely welcoming place to stay in Mafeteng. The name Bataung means "of the lions" in Sesotho — a nod to the strength and pride of the Basotho people.
Over the years we've hosted guests from across Lesotho, Southern Africa and around the world. Many return again and again.
We're proud to call Mafeteng home and love helping our guests discover the beauty of the Mountain Kingdom, from the sandstone cliffs to the snow-dusted peaks of the Maloti.
